The weekend’s agenda: Maradona Cup, Messi, Manchester and Madrid classic and much more

After a week of Libertadores, Sudamericana, Champions and Europa League, local football begins with the Championship Phase and Complementation of the Diego Maradona Cup and the rest of the world brings you great matches so you can spend the whole weekend in the armchair.

The Diego Maradona Cup kicks off with a bang: this Friday from 9:10 p.m., Racing visits Vélez for the first date of group B of the Complementation Phase. On Saturday Colón receives Gimnasia de La Plata and Newell’s plays host to Estudiantes de La Plata. In the afternoon-night, Boca will be hosting Arsenal, while at night, San Lorenzo plays at home against Talleres, in what will be a great match for group B of the Championship Phase.

Sunday’s day starts with two games simultaneously, Aldosivi receives Lanús, while Unión plays host to Defense and Justice. At the end of these two matches, River will host Argentinos, in what promises to be a high-flying match. At night, Independiente will visit Tomás Adolfo Ducó, to face Huracán.

Good football does not stay in Argentina but also moves to the Old Continent. This Friday Leeds de Bielsa host Manuel Lanzini’s West Ham. But that’s not all, on Saturday, Manchester United will play host to Manchester City, in what will be the Premier League match of the day and at the end, Everton host Chelsea.

In Spain, another of the matches of the day is being played, on Saturday Real Madrid will host Atlético Madrid, in a duel that will attract all eyes. While Messi and company will play at home against Levante on Sunday.
