The wedding in Chania that will be reminiscent of a PASOK conference – 2024-08-08 00:12:04

The invitations have been distributed and half of PaSoK will be in Chania in August for intra-party fermentation, baths and wishes. Panagiotis Simandirakis, who was re-elected mayor of Chania from the first Sunday with 66%, is getting married on August 16 to the chosen one of his heart, Anna Benioudakis. The best man will be the regional governor of Crete, Stavros Arnautakis, and half of the candidate presidents of PaSoK, among others, will be in attendance.

His friend from the PaSoK Youth years, Nikos Androulakis, has the invitation card in his hands. Anna Diamantopoulou, with whom he has close family relations, will also be there, while Pavlos Geroulanos is also expected to be in Chania to wish the couple. At the same time, all the MPs of Crete who were elected with the PASOK ballot have been invited along with self-governing agents and Central Committee officials from every corner of the country.

The wedding will be more like a conference, say those who know people and situations in Crete, and this is because the 42-year-old groom has a party track and self-governing presence for decades. He started from the Faculty of Economics and Law and was, together with Yiannis Papazoglou from Xanthi, the two golden children of Nikos Androulakis.

At the 2007 PASOK Youth conference, the current president of the party was elected first, and the current mayor of Chania was elected second out of a body of 6,000 delegates. There the two were introduced to the general public. Subsequently, Panagiotis Simandirakis was elected deputy regional governor of Crete twice and is currently serving his second term as mayor of Chania. However, MPs from other parties will also be invited, such as Dora Bakoyannis, with whom he maintains excellent relations…
