With “Democratic Bulgaria” we have a mandate from our national council for general participation in the elections. With “Save Sofia” for the local elections for sure, said the co-chairman of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov in the show “Face to Face”.
According to him, individual battles are very difficult because the backstage is one. “We have to make a common front,” said Petkov.
“Not only did we promise zero corruption, but we delivered on that. That was the reason we fell,” he added.
“We are in favor of absolute checks, we want Ivan Geshev to check us on absolutely all cases, because we are sure that there is nothing we have done wrong. These were invented things and we called them “Borisovki”. We are ready to provide any information so that all cases can be investigated,” said Petkov.
He also commented on why they did not go to the meeting with the socialists for the third term.
“There is no way we can be part of the government and be in a coalition with GERB, DPS, BSP, if they have decided to be their new partners. We had no room at this table. Together with “Democratic Bulgaria” we stated that we are ready to meet with the BSP. The talks are not only about mandates,” said Petkov.
The intermediaries through which Bulgaria supplied Ukraine were governments of NATO countries or companies behind which these governments stand, Petkov said. At a crucial moment, Bulgarian industry helped Ukraine through other NATO countries, he added.
“The best thing is that the import of weapons to Ukraine was free. The funds did not come from Ukraine. We win, our partners who finance these sales stand behind. We do not take the risk for direct export”, believes Petkov.
There is no deputy prime minister of Bulgaria who says that he does not want the country to export to partner countries, Petkov clarified regarding whether the BSP leader and former economy minister Kornelia Ninova knew that our country supplies Ukraine.
Petkov denied that there were any donations from “Nexo” to “We continue the change” or their mandate holders SEC and VOLT. “Attorney General Investigation Act Passed in Committee to Wash Their Hands”
Having the anti-corruption laws captured in the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RSP) was one of the best things we did. Why we could not accept them in the last three months, that is the big question, said Petkov.
“Yesterday I was standing in the legal committee and I thought to myself how it is possible that the most important law for the investigation of the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev was left at the last moment. To be accepted at the first reading in committee to wash our hands, knowing very well that this law cannot be accepted, even though billions and entry into Schengen depend on it,” he added.
