On Wednesday, the weekly incidence of new cases is 37.47. The Czech Republic has remained below the value of 50 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is needed for the transition to the fifth package, from Friday 21 May, ie on the sixth day. In order to disintegrate according to the rules of this package, it is necessary to stay below this value for a week, which will end tomorrow, ie on Thursday.
–
The system was devised by the government so that people would know exactly how it would disintegrate. But again, they don’t. The next government meeting is not scheduled until Monday.
–
As part of the fifth package, restaurant interiors, for example, should be opened. According to the data, the restaurants could open at the end of the week, or from Monday. The government always opens individual areas of social life on Mondays.
–
Although the restaurants could open as early as Monday, according to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, the cabinet is probably not considering it until June 14. Packages are therefore useless.
–
The government threw all its systems overboard
The package system thus apparently faces a similar fate as its predecessor. The Ministry of Health has already prepared three systems during the pandemic. The first was the so-called traffic light, which replaced the anti-epidemic PES system of ex-minister Jan Blatný (for YES). However, neither of them governed the government much and loosened or tightened the screws without clear rules.

Some regions in the sixth package
In order to move to the sixth package, in which there are already several regions, it is then necessary to stay in the previous seven days, which will probably end on Thursday.
–
According to data published by the Ministry of Health, citizens in some regions could already live a normal life, almost as before the coronavirus pandemic. The Karlovy Vary region is the Republican premiant in terms of the monitored weekly incidence of cases. The number of new cases on Wednesday in Karlovy Vary fell to 4.43 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on a weekly average. Since Monday alone, the number has dropped by about 10 cases.

Karlovy Vary fell below the set value of the sixth and at the same time the mildest package, which is 25/100 thousand cases.
–
At present, four Czech regions are already below this limit. In addition to the aforementioned Karlovy Vary Region, these are the Hradec Králové Region (14.16), the Pardubice Region (23.14) and the Central Bohemian Region (23.29). However, the Pilsen and Ústí nad Labem regions are also approaching the border.
–
Although the incidence numbers in the regions fly sharply downwards and several of them already meet the values of package 6, the state has still not published what measures could apply within it. The description of the package was limited to the strict statement “respiratory protection and other measures will be specified”.
–
The news repeatedly turned to the Ministry of Health and Chief Hygienist Pavla Svrčinová with questions regarding the measures in force in the last package. However, no reaction yet.
–
It is also not clear whether and when the state decides to withdraw from the national incidence when disintegrating and will begin to disintegrate according to the local situation.
