Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has revealed how he reacted to the news of Lionel Messi being appointed national team manager. The coach says Messi, 35, is happy and proud to have backed Argentina to win major trophies.
Under Scaloni’s tutelage, Lionel Messi’s Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in December 2022. Messi won the Golden Ball with seven goals and three assists in seven games.
Previously, Skeloni had only coached the Under-20 team. The coach also tells how Messi reacted when such a coach came to Argentina. “Messi was very happy, he was laughing a lot. He said he was waiting for you.’
Messi has scored 32 goals in 44 games under Scaloni so far.
