DEPOK, KOMPAS.com – The cooking oil warehouse which was sealed by the police for allegedly committing a violation is said to belong to the family of a member of the West Java DPRD with the initials RA.

The cooking oil warehouse, named Bhakti Karya and located on Jalan Raya Pasir Putih, Sawangan, Depok, was visited by the Depok Metro Police and Bojongsari Police on Tuesday (15/3/2022).

“The owner of Bhakti Karya company has the initials HP, one of whose children is a member of the board with the initials RA (West Java DPRD). It belongs to the family. It is a member of the management board,” said Bojongsari Police Chief Kompol M. Syahroni, Wednesday (16/3/2022).

According to Syahroni, the police visited the warehouse after receiving reports from the public who were suspicious of the activities there.

According to residents, the color of the cooking oil distributed by the Bhanti Karya company is different from the color of other packaged cooking oil on the market.

“Starting from residents’ complaints, the cooking oil there is not clean even though it is packaged cooking oil, but like bulk cooking oil,” said Syahroni.

During a search, the police found cooking oil with various brands there. The employee at the warehouse admitted to repackaging cooking oil.

“So the branded cooking oil is changed to other brand packaging. The brand is there Wasilah 212WE 212, “he continued.

Previously, it was reported that the Depok Metro Police together with the Bojongsari Police visited the cooking oil warehouse on Jalan Raya Pasir Putih, Sawangan, Depok, Tuesday (15/3/2022) afternoon.

The police also discovered that the warehouse did not have a business license. Products distributed also do not have a label from BPOM. What’s more, the existing halal certification letter is no longer valid.
