The Washington Post’s Leaked Document Reveals Tension and Detente in US-Saudi Relationship

The Saudi writer for Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Abdul Rahman Al-Rashed, described what the Washington Post published about a leaked document that it said it had obtained. That it “may explain the path of tension and then the detente in Washington’s relationship with Riyadh,” noting that the recent days witnessed a work mission for US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Jeddah, “on a three-day work mission, in which two hours were with the Crown Prince, which seems to be the most important in the relations of the two countries since its deterioration.”
