The Caldera map from Call of Duty: Warzone won’t be released until next month, but a strange teaser emerged from an executive’s jacket, Charlie Intel reported Thursday.
Pelle Sjoenell, the creative director of Activision Blizzard, shared a rather peculiar patch sewn on his jacket: a design of the Caldera map from Call of Duty: Warzone. Yes, it’s a pretty weird way to reveal something like this, but fun nonetheless. Taking a closer look at the photo, he refers to the map as Operation Alpha and sets it to the 1940s. Makes sense, as this would make Caldera line up nicely with Call of Duty: Vanguard for some crossover promotion.
Take a look at Caldera’s photo in Call of Duty: Warzone below. However, you will likely need a magnifying glass or telescope to make out all the details. My advice is to squint long after popping the image.

It will be interesting to see more of Caldera in the coming weeks, but Activision Blizzard will probably focus on Call of Duty: Vanguard for now. We had a chance to review the game, discovering that it was also by the numbers. Not even cheeky self-referential humor could taste this one.
