The Golden State Warriors did not have the biggest challenge to face to start their 2024-25 campaign, but they still had to be serious and not get fooled by the young Portland Trail Blazers. Mission accomplished with a 139 to 104 victory.
Draymond Green did not wait until the end of the first half to take a technical foul. Just another way to show everyone that the Golden State Warriors were back on the court this season.
Facing the Portland Trail Blazers, the Oakland Bay Warriors quickly created a light mattress of around ten points and the bedding continued to deepen. If Stephen Curry was not extremely skillful, that was not the case for his new friend, Buddy Hield, author of 22 points and 5 award-winning baskets in the match in just 14 minutes on the floor.
Good ! A sluggish start to the match but the Warriors did what was necessary to widen the gap with Portland.

Trayce Jackson-Davis and Andrew Wiggins supported him well with a nice mix of aggression and skill. Great performances which contrast with that of Jonathan Kuminga (3/9 shooting). The winger was unable to enjoy the freedom that was offered to him.

Opposite, the Blazers defended themselves, for a time, with their weapons thanks to a very fair distribution of shots and points (six players above 10 points). They were still let down in the third quarter with an ugly 37-22 conceded over the period.
Even if he was not sparkling Stephen Curry was very close to achieving a triple-double in 25 minutes: 17 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists.
The Warriors gained momentum throughout the match and gained confidence before facing the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers!
