The universe of World of Warcraft and his many adventures across Azeroth will turn 30 on November 15, and the development teams from WoW, World of Warcraft Classic, Hearthstone, and Warcraft Rumble have gathered for a special presentation. It has just ended Warcraft 30th Anniversary Live and, during the show, the Warcraft teams focused on the legacy of this iconic gaming universe, celebrating the community and making them rejoice with the new features coming to each Warcraft title. The full video will be available on all Warcraft YouTube channels (WoW, Hearthstone e Warcraft Rumble). Here’s a quick overview of all the new features that have been announced for each game:
- WORLD OF WARCRAFT (Modern): On November 23, WoW celebrates 20 years of continuously exploring (and saving) Azeroth. The first major content update for The War Within, Cavafon (11.1), will release early next year and will take players to the underground goblin capital of Deephollow, as players continue to pursue the mysterious Xal’atath to foil her plans. With Cavafonda, the second season of The War Within will include:
- 2 new Scrolls, while the current ones will receive themed updates.
- 1 new Shipmentwhich will also be available in the Season 2 Mythic+ dungeon selection along with the remaining four launch dungeons and the 3 classic dungeons.
- A new land mount made to move quickly within the Goblin city.
- And, naturally, a new raid with 8 bosses in which players will face Gallywix and his allies in the city of Deephollow. Player slots are coming up Midnight! The WoW team then shared a preview concluding their portion of the live broadcast. More details about this system will be revealed next year.
- WORLD OF WARCRAFT CLASSIC: the Season of Discovery ends to make room for a “new” beginning. The Classic story continues on the progression servers with Mists of Pandaria Classic, That will invite players to explore this beloved expansion as it was (with “#somechanges”) when it was first released in 2012. Here comes a feature much requested by WoW Classic players: the 20th Anniversary Edition Realms will offer Classic era players a new beginning in World of Warcraft and will also include Hardcore server options, both with concurrent content updates up to and including Burning Crusade Classic. Additionally, non-Hardcore servers will also update their content to Burning Crusade Classic.
- HEARTHSTONE: The Hearthstone team has revealed what new content there will be in 2025, including the next three expansions! The team will kick off the year with a journey into a completely new universe: the mini set Starcraft Heroes invite the Protoss, Terrans and Zerg to the tavern. Shortly thereafter, the team opens the doors ofUnderground arenabefore diving in Emerald Dream for the first expansion of the year. After that, players will return to Un’Goro Crater to explore the Cloaked citybefore ending the year with a journey together with Cromie through alternative realities in Heroes of the time.
- WARCRAFT RUMBLE: Let’s celebrate a year of hilarious chaos!
- Warcraft Rumble arriva su PC! The beta version will be made available on December 10th. The release of Warcraft Rumble for PC will come hot on the heels of another brand new feature: Division leader. These leaders belong to two families at the same time and include legendary characters such as Orgrim Martelfato, Malfurion Grantempesta e Anub’arak.
- WARCRAFT RTS: the founders of the saga will receive updates… already available now! A new one is available Battle Chest di Warcraft to allow players to explore the origins of the Warcraft universe with some modern tweaks and overall improvements. This dynamically priced package (i.e. one that changes based on what players already own in their collection) will give access to:
- Warcraft: Orcs & Humans Remastered
- Warcraft II: Tides of War Remastered
- Warcraft III: Reforged
This game will be updated to version 2.0 and will offer new features, including customizable graphics for players, who will be able to choose between three different options: the graphics of Reforged, those of the classic game and a new one renewed with increased resolution for modern systems . Additionally, with three available graphics options, players will be able to mix and match elements of their user interface, from icons and portraits to game scenes. More information on each of these updates will be posted on the respective Warcraft game sites in the near future.
