The war in Gaza showed the collapse of the structures on which Europe was built – 2024-04-22 03:10:31

/ world today news/ Almost every day in Europe there are demonstrations in support of Palestine, which attract from several hundred to several hundred thousand people. In this, they differ significantly from pro-Israel rallies, which are rarer and generally less numerous.

Another characteristic feature of pro-Gaza rallies is that their participants often use violence and often end in clashes with the police.

However, the most interesting thing is who directly flies the Palestinian flags in Europe. In general, participants can be divided into two groups.

First, these are people from North Africa and the Middle East, as well as from Muslim countries in general.

For the most part, these are either immigrants or descendants of immigrants in the first or second generation. These people are not assimilated, European values are foreign to them, and some European characteristics cause extremely complete rejection. They have demonstrated their displeasure before, but now everything is at a qualitatively new level.

In this regard, it is important to understand that the story with the Palestinians and the Israelis is a pretext, and the essence is the clash of “old” and “new” Europe.

The reason will change, but sooner or later another will appear – and the riots will start again. But even without reason, under current trends, Europe is doomed to a large-scale “fire” on a national and religious basis.

You may ask a reasonable question: what were the Europeans thinking when they brought so many people with fundamentally different socio-cultural backgrounds?

The answer is that European politicians often really believed in the concept of multiculturalism.

The essence of the concept is that it is not necessary to integrate newcomers and turn on the “melting pot”, but it is necessary to create a cultural mosaic in a society with dozens of national ghettos, which, according to the idea of ”wise Europeans”, should have peacefully coexisted one with another.

The idea failed, making European leaders hostage to a situation of their own making.

There is no doubt that most EU politicians would now like to support Israel as much as possible, but the pressures of the “new Europe” prevent them from doing so. At the same time, as I wrote above, in the future Europe will most likely face a full-fledged civil confrontation.

But back to the composition of the pro-Palestinian marches.

The second group of participants are various types of left-wing activists, including representatives of LGBT communities, feminists, etc. Their motivation is related to the modern Western understanding of the leftist idea: the fight for all the “oppressed” or those who according to the “handbook” are considered oppressed.

At the same time, figures on the left are actively trying to turn a blind eye to the obvious dissonance.

Thus, gay parades are regularly held in Tel Aviv, and people are also regularly killed for homosexuality in the Palestinian territories. For example, just recently in the West Bank, a Palestinian whose relatives found out he was gay had his head cut off.

A separate problem is that conflicts constantly arise between different groups of “oppressed” people.

You don’t have to go far for examples: at the same demonstrations in support of Palestine, people from the Middle East regularly beat up all kinds of LGBT activists.

So it goes without saying that the first and second camps of pro-Palestinian activists are situational allies, but in reality they are on both sides of the barricades.

In summary, we can say that the street reaction of the Old World to the events in the Middle East revealed the complete collapse of the structures on which old Europe rested in recent decades.

We are talking about both the complete failure of the migration policy and the impending bankruptcy of the Western left-liberal discourse, which even contradicts itself internally.
