While we wait patiently for the broadcast of episode 9 of season 10 of The Walking Dead sure SCO on February 24, AMC Programming Director Sarah Barnett took advantage of an interview with Variety to tease a little what awaits us on the zombie side In the coming years. While The Walking Dead is in its 10th season, as its first spin-off Fear The Walking Dead will start its 6th season this year and a new spin-off, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, will be launched in the spring, fans can still prepare to eat zombies for a little while.
“I think there are still a lot of stories to tell about the world of The Walking Dead” explained Sarah Barnett. “And I will say in this regard what I would say regarding any project in development at AMC, is that everything must be exceptional from a creative point of view”. The most prolific franchise in the chain, The Walking Dead could therefore still give birth to new productions in the years to come. Yet even if AMC promises quality and exceptional content, there is no guarantee that fans will never tire of a universe that will already occupy a good part of the year 2020.
