America’s east coast metropolis has descended into utter chaos, as revealed in the first trailer for Dead Citythe new series of the franchise, which will see Negan and Maggie venture on the island of Manhattan, in order to save the little Hershel, who has grown up.
He’s a former ally of the Saviors who kidnapped Widow Rhee’s kid and he has a score to settle with Negan. So the bad boy at bat will agree to join the rescue mission. But Maggie and he are going to discover a truly post-apocalyptic world, a New York that really can’t sleep anymore…
The official synopsis announces that the story will take us “a few years after the events in the Commonwealth. Maggie and Negan travel to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long cut off from the mainland. The ruined city is populated by the dead and inhabitants who have made New York an anarchic world filled with terror…” Even the zombies have evolved and we discover at the end of the trailer a giant undead monster, in the form of the final boss. A creature never seen before in the saga…
Consisting of six episodes, Dead City will see Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan return to the cast, for a new adventure in the Big Apple.
The Walking Dead : Dead City, will be broadcast from June 18, 2023 on the American channel AMC and in France on OCS. But we don’t know when.
