The volume of production sold by ‘Bauskas alus’ increased by 6.4% last year

Last year, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the biggest drop in beer sales was in the bar, restaurant, cafe and hotel sector. At the same time, thanks to greater availability of products in retail, the sales volume of SIA “Bauskas alus” in decalitres increased by 6.4% in 2021, according to the information published in the company’s management report. This was also facilitated by very active tourism between the Baltic states, which contributed to the sale of beer in retail trade.

Information available to “Lursoft” shows that in the past year SIA “Bauskas alus” was the employer of 64 employees. Last year, the beer producer paid 2.38 million euros in tax payments to the state budget.

This year, the activity of SIA “Bauskas alus” will be mainly focused on increasing sales volumes in all market segments. It is planned to continue long-term investments in increasing production capacity, efficiency and product quality.

The shareholder of SIA “Bauskas alus” is SIA “Lāčplēša alus”, which in turn belongs to SIA “Cido grupa”.
