An increase in the volume of Chinese express mail in the first eight months of 2022
BEIJING, September 18, 2022 (Xinhua) – Chinese express mail service providers have seen a steady increase in the volume of express mail in the first eight months of 2022, figures released by the National Post Authority showed on Saturday.
From January to August, Chinese couriers handled a total of 70.3 billion packages, up 4.4% year-on-year, according to the authority.
Turnover of listed companies reached 676.44 billion yuan (about 97.6 billion US dollars) in the aforementioned period, up 3.9 percent from last year.
In August alone, the courier industry’s revenue increased 5.2% year-on-year to 88.39 billion yuan. / ts /
