A Volkswagen Caddy has been taken to the extreme with modifications. The German van develops 1300 hp, has all-wheel drive and racing tires.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Volkswagen Caddy? Probably a rather awkward van with a diesel engine under the hood. A workshop in the UK has taken a Caddy and made it the exact opposite, as it shows us LivingLifeFast.
The 1.9 liter diesel engine was replaced by the 2.5 liter turbocharged unit from a Audi RS3. In order to fit this engine, the car required a modified engine frame and the rear floor was modified to accommodate the differential. The engine is not stock, but fully modified, has forged components and produces approximately 1300 HP.
It’s related to the automatic gearbox on the RS3, only the dual-clutch unit has been modified to handle the engine’s higher output. All the power goes to the four wheels via an all-wheel drive system, and the tires fitted to the car are competition ones. In addition to more power, the car also has suspension and brakes to match.

The project took about seven years, according to the owner. The car is very fast as you can imagine. The owner participated in drag races with her, where she managed to get under 10 seconds over the course of 400 meters. The car was named the fastest street-legal van, managing times of around 10.6 seconds over the 400 meters on street tires.
Even the appearance does not betray what is hidden under the hood. To the untrained eye, the car looks like it has a set of wheels and an aggressive bumper, but nothing else to give it away. Is a sleeper in the true sense of the word.
