“The Voice, who cares!” : Alain Souchon destroys the program

Interviewed this Saturday, February 26 on RTL in We redid the TV, Alain Souchon gave his opinion on The Voice, and did not mince his words.

It couldn’t be clearer. guest in We redo the TV alongside his son Pierre on RTL this Saturday, February 26, Alain Souchon was questioned by host Eric Dussart about the famous singing program on TF1.

Eric Dussart first said that the singer would make a very good coach in The Voicewhich does not seem to have convinced him at all: “No no not at all!” he immediately cut it off, before continuing: “We cannot give advice to Alain Bashung ‘stand like this’. Alain Bashung, it’s Alain Bashung” explained Alain Souchon.

“These shows, I don’t care”

In his momentum, the singer gave a new example to explain his reasoning: “Véronique Samson, you’re not going to tell her ‘must play the piano like that’. Even when she was starting out, we didn’t have to tell her, it’s like that. What is interesting in French song, c is Alain Bashung, it’s Véronique Samson.” before adding: “That we find people who sing American songs in a powerful way, who cares! Those shows, I don’t care.”

The 77-year-old singer then continued: “I see for example Vincent Delerm, he watches with his children and then he votes, I find it cute, I find it very good. I don’t watch.” Alain Souchon then explained that he would prefer to watch a program in which the artists would perform their own compositions: “That’s interesting, French songs written in French with the care that Claude Nougaro or Serge Gainsbourg took to be very original in the texts.”, he concluded.

If the producers of The Voice possibly thinking of Alain Souchon for the role of a new coach in the next season, the answer is already given by the latter. Pity.
