Imagine a row of falling dominoes, that’s how it went on Saturday morning when television channel RTL announced that it was suspending the broadcasts of ‘The Voice of Holland’ because of accusations of sexually transgressive behavior and abuse of power. The news was barely known when the first head rolled: band leader Jeroen Rietbergen (50) resigned himself. A little later, jury member Ali B (40) also ended up in the eye of the storm. “I am 100 percent innocent,” he said. In the meantime, however, an official complaint had been lodged against him. Jury member Anouk (46) knew enough: last night she let it be known that she no longer wants to have anything to do with the program and “the corrupt gang”. Sponsor T-Mobile also withdrew.
