– I have always had a dream of becoming an artist who can make a living from music. It’s a dream that might feel a little unattainable, but I thought it was wise to go for it now, the 18-year-old told Sandefjords Blad before the TV viewers got to see the Sandefjorden in action on Friday evening.

Camilla (18) goes “all in” to realize her childhood dream: – I thought it was wise to go for it now
It was in October that she auditioned in Oslo, and Berget said she was excited to see herself on TV. But now the wait was over. And the 18-year-old impressed the judges already from the first stanza, with the song “No time to die” by Billie Eilish.
– Hey!
Only a few seconds into the song, the first judge was impressed for the first time.
– Oh, said Jarle Bernhoft then.
Then it wasn’t long before two other judges, Ina Wroldsen and Youssef Wolde-Mariam, hammered their button into the table, and the chair of the two turned around.
And that was more than enough to send her through to the knock-out rounds in the programme, which will be broadcast on TV throughout the spring.
– This song is terribly difficult to follow, but you made it your own. It was gorgeous. When you go up to the high notes, I just thought “it’s good…”, said Sandefjorden Wroldsen.
– One hears that you have so much space in your voice, and that no matter how high you went, you were not at the top. It was so well delivered. Then you turn around and hear that you’re from Sandefjord…then you get a little demotivated, because I know that I’m sold to Ina. But I want to work with you, he told Wolde-Mariam with a smile.
Surprised with the choice
The other two judges also praised the performance. But none of them turned themselves around.
The 18-year-old himself beamed with joy after the first step towards achieving his childhood dream was fulfilled. In the end, she had to choose between having the two judges as mentors in the coming time in the program. But despite the link to his hometown, Berget surprisingly chose to bet on Wolde-Mariam.
– Before I came here today, I was very unsure of what I was going to do if I went on. And I haven’t decided in advance. But I think I agree with myself that it will be Youssef, Camilla said.
Wroldsen thus had to realize with some disappointment that the “Sandefjord card” was not enough to get Berget on his team going forward in the competition.
– She was raw, Youssef. She was rubbish, Ina concluded the whole thing with.
