New rules will appear in the 12th season of “The Voice”. The TV hook will return on Saturday evening on TF1 in a few days. Here’s what you need to know.

What are the new rules?
First novelty: at the end of a service, a coach can block another coach during the discussion with the candidate. The chair will then re-turn. This rule is a world first in “The Voice”.
The battles stage will be immersive for the coaches. An armchair will be placed next to the stage to allow each coach to be closer to their talents during this stage. The battles will be followed by cross battles and super cross battles to gradually eliminate the fourteen candidates from each team.

Who are the coaches?
There is change this year with not four but five coaches on set. The production has recruited the Toulouse rappers BigFlo & Oli who will share the same chair. The producer Matthieu Grelier made some first secrets about the two brothers: they do not always agree and Flo is the funniest coach since the launch of “The Voice” in France. By their side, Amel Bent and Vianney will always be present. Zazie will make her return after five years of absence (apart from the All-Stars season).
