The virtuoso violinist Ventzi Takev has died, Fondacia Roma Lom announced on Facebook. Their message reads: “On the day of the national awakeners, the virtuoso Roma violinist Ventsislav Takev died at the age of 76. His bright memory!”
He died about two hours ago at his home in Sofia.

Ventsislav Takev was born on December 24 – Christmas Eve, exactly at 12 o’clock. The year is 1945, the place – Fakulteta district. The family is large – many uncles, aunts, cousins, children, grandchildren. Most of them have musical talent. Wreaths has five brothers and one sister, as well as four children and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He started playing when he was 7 years old. Then he attended a children’s music school at the Chitalishte “Aura”. At the age of 10, he went to restaurants with his father to help him. At first he is ashamed to take money for his music, but his father tells him that it is not a shame because he earns a living for his brothers. Since then, Venci has been playing without hesitation.
At the age of 16 he started working for the orchestra in the Concert Directorate, and after the barracks he started working in the Roma ensemble. He is a member of the band “Balkan Hans” together with Nikolay Ivanov – keyboards, vocals, compositions, Alexander Deyanov-Skyler – beatbox and Kolyo Ivanov – drum, bagpipe.
He has worked in the Netherlands, Germany and Japan. He played at the Bolshoi Theater.
