As the director of collections at the French Blood Establishment (EFS), Hervé Meinrad, so aptly explains, at the present time blood supplies are at a very low level, it is not yet a shortage but there is there is a real urgency to replenish stocks of all blood groups. In France, the needs to treat the sick require at least 10,000 blood donations per day and there is no treatment or synthetic drug capable of replacing human blood. Donations are used in particular in emergency phases such as accidents and chronic situations such as cancer. In this sense, the local association of blood donors hopes for increased mobilization during its collection organized on Tuesday, March 1 from 3 p.m. in the Salle Georges-Brassens. As usual, it will be possible to make an appointment on the EFS site knowing that time slots will be reserved for all donors who come spontaneously, the warm and friendly welcome will be coupled with a small gift offered to each person willing to reach out. The vaccination pass will not be required but the barrier gestures will nevertheless be respected throughout the event.
