The Vietnamese community has long been among the most popular. Together with the Slovaks, this is an age-old trend. Czechs appreciate their enormous hard work, when especially the owners or operators of convenience stores work practically around the clock.
Another big positive is that even the older generation of Vietnamese has learned Czech well. Thus, any language barriers disappear. The younger generation of Vietnamese already speaks Czech without an accent.
PrahaIN.cz was alerted to a message on one of the mentioned stores, which is located in Seifertová street in Prague 3. We received the picture twice. And twice with a positive comment that it is very nice.
While we were on the subject, we asked two other stores, this time in Vinohrady, how the Vietnamese holiday is actually. It emerged from several interviews that the Vietnamese themselves distinguish between their generation and their children’s generation. The younger ones are said to drive exactly the same as Czech students and Czech youth.

The opposite is the case with their parents. They don’t actually know a classic holiday. There is no such thing as closing down and flying away for two weeks to, for example, Italy or Croatia. The most common destination is their native country, where they usually send part of the money they earn.
“We are happy here, but we get home maybe once a year. Sometimes we all fly, only exceptionally. Mostly the wife and kids, I stay,” said the man, who identified himself as Ngyuen Hung.
They confirmed his sentences in another convenience store. They didn’t want to talk to us for a long time there.
Because of low sales, they are closing it on Vinohradská třída.
