When he heard high heels clattering, an 18-year-old from Vienna hit him. He ambushed the women, pursued them. It was mostly neighbors. “I was going towards the subway when I realized that someone was following me,” recalls one of the victims as a witness in the Vienna Regional Court. “Suddenly he kicked the heel from behind and I fell.” It started when he was 13 and has steadily increased. “First he pursued women, then he attacked them, and finally there was a sexual component,” explains the prosecutor on the second day of the trial. Most recently, he is said to have masturbated in the elevator in front of a neighbor whom he was ambushing.
