Each year, the Video Music Awards Japan recognize artists from the Asian and international music scene. The annual edition of the ceremony was held on November 29 in Japan, and will be broadcast this weekend at home.
The broadcast of the Video Music Awards Japan 2020 ceremony will take place this Sunday, December 20, at 8:40 p.m., on the channel J-One.
Presented by Japanese idol group BiSH and star MTV Japan host Ken Ayugai, the ceremony once again selected the best performers from across Asia to perform. Between singer Aimyon, J-pop and heavy metal group Babymetal, pop rock groups Dish // and Macaroni Enpitsu or even the idol group E-GIRLS, the evening was explosive!
On the competition side, the biggest names on the Asian scene were once again rewarded with, in particular, the musician Daiki Tsuneta elected “Artist of the year”, the group Dish // which won the “Best Buzz Award” and the duo Yoasobi who leaves with the “Song of the Year” Award.
An exceptional ceremony which also rewarded the biggest international stars such as The Weeknd and Dua Lipa, who each received the Award for “Best Music Video of the Year”.
