The victory of the “Gray Team MMA” fighter at the Baltic MMA Championship

On May 4, Saturday, the Jonava Sports Arena hosted the Baltic MMA Championship (mixed martial arts), in which Lithuanian fighters, guests from Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine and Finland participated. Vitalijs Saveljev, a fighter from the sports club “Gray Team MMA”, performed well and became the champion in his age and weight category.

Fights with foreign representatives are always beautiful and unpredictable, they cause a lot of good emotions. The fighters of our “Gray Team MMA” club also participated in this championship: Rufin, Markas, Nojus and Vitaly. Rufin, Mark and Noah struggled a bit with experience and luck for the prize places, as many of them were participating in the competition for the first time. And Vitalijs Saveljev was unstoppable in his age and weight category, he had no equals and finished two out of three fights ahead of time and became the MMA champion of the Baltic countries.

Vitalijus also became the champion of Lithuanian Greco-Roman wrestling this year. He is the first student in our club who became a double champion in such a short time and changed the history of the Gray Team MMA club. I want to congratulate those who participated in the competition and showed a strong fighting character, and these guys also gained invaluable experience in international competitions. We learn from mistakes, improve and move forward. We will return to the competition even stronger.
