New Delhi: It was not that easy for India to win the war against the Corona virus. In order to win the war against this dangerous epidemic that shook the whole world, the Modi government had to take a tough decision like lockdown, bypassing the risk of economic crisis. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had an idea of this. But even then, adopting the basic mantra of ‘Jaan Hai to Jahan Hai’, PM Modi took a tough decision and decided to impose a lockdown. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has discussed in detail the Corona period and the lockdown issue in History TV18’s documentary ‘The Vial-India’s Vaccine Story’. In this conversation, PM Modi said that he had an idea of the economic crisis arising out of the Corona lockdown, but he had decided to impose a lockdown, giving priority to the lives of the people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Global pandemic… This word itself is very scary. It shakes the good ones. The horrors of the situation in many countries of the world, dead bodies are lying… hospitals are full, all these things were visible in the world. It is true that it did not have much influence in India at that time, but today the world has become very small, it is interconnected. It is interrelated, it is interdependent. Movement is happening very fast. It is happening somewhere, so it will not happen here, it would not be appropriate to be foolish to think so, this was the first thought in my mind.
PM Modi remembered the days of Corona lockdown.
He further said, ‘There is only one way to avoid the pandemic, save yourself. If there’s life, then there’s the world. I used this sentiment to educate people. The people of the country followed the Janata curfew. I knew that financial problems would come. It was known that people will face trouble after such a big crisis on the supply chain. Such a big lockdown in such a big country, for so many days, this is also a wonder in the world. No country in the world has been able to take its citizens in that direction.
PM Modi was aware of the economic risk arising out of the lockdown.
Recalling the Corona period, PM Modi said that it seemed that India would never be able to tackle the war against Corona, let alone win it. When the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world, many predicted that a country as large and diverse as India would be badly hit by the virus that had brought many developed and wealthy countries to their knees.
