On the evening of September 1, the Italian director Andrea Segre’s documentary story “Molecule” about Venice during the quarantine regime will be premiered in Venice. The film will premiere at the same time as the unofficial opening screening of the 77th Venice Film Festival.
But the official opening of the Venice Biennale Film Festival is scheduled for September 2. Until September 12, cinema-lovers will have the opportunity to watch films from the Venice Film Festival program – more than 60 films.
18 of them will be judged by the festival jury to present the “Golden Lion” for the best film at the official award ceremony on September 12.
Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has made its adjustments during the Venice Film Festival. This year, it will not be so dazzlingly bright, because a number of Hollywood celebrities will not come, but the films will be shown in accordance with social distance, and people must wear face masks at all festival venues.
