“To continue celebrating its anniversary week, the Venezuelan flag carrier Conviasa today began operations on the Havana – Saint Vincent and the Grenadines route,” the official said on his Twitter account.

The minister showed images of the check-in of the passengers who took the first flight of this connection from the José Martí International Airport, in the Cuban capital.

The Venezuelan Embassy in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines celebrated the new air route and assured, on its Twitter account, that it continues to “strengthen Latin American and Caribbean integration.”

The airline reported that it would begin to offer its connections, departing from Caracas, between the cities of Havana and Moscow, Havana and San Vicente

On January 22, Conviasa reported that it plans to increase its international offer by 30% during 2023 with the recovery of routes in Latin America and the incorporation of connections between cities, including Havana, Damascus, Tehran and Moscow.

The airline then reported, in a press release, that it would begin to offer its connections, departing from Caracas, between the cities of Havana and Moscow, Havana and San Vicente, Damascus and Tehran, and between the Venezuelan Puerto Ordaz and the Brazilian Manaus.

The Venezuelan state company also plans to start offering direct flights from Caracas to Sao Paulo and Suriname, while it works to resume the connection between the city of Punto Fijo, Falcón state (northwest), and Aruba.

In addition, they hope to resume routes to Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and Peru, connections that have been lost in recent years due to the economic crisis and international sanctions against Venezuela, including one that weighs directly on Conviasa.
