The Swedish figure skating elite will come to Västerås this weekend.

It is the second year in a row that IFK Västerås Konståkningsklubb, in collaboration with the Swedish Konståkningsförbundet, organizes the National series competition in Västerås, which goes by the name Västeråspokalen.

The competition is held in ABB Arena Nord Friday–Sunday 9–11 February.

Three local skaters from IFK Västerås will start.

The competitions begin on Friday evening and then continue throughout the weekend.

Admission is free and open to the public to come and watch, the organizer announces.

“This is an excellent opportunity for the people of Västerås to see Sweden’s elite skaters in figure skating,” writes the figure skating club in an email.

Another chance for that will come later this year, on December 12–15, when IFK Västerås will host the SM for the first time in ten years.
