The Vaquero Gathering at Fort Worth Stockyards to celebrate Mexican cowboys and charrería

The Fort Worth Stockyards to continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with the event The Vaquero Gathering.

The event will last for three days on the second weekend of October. The celebration of charro traditions is from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 October.

There will be free events and others that require tickets. Three performances will take place at the Stockyards’ Cowtown Coliseum. The ticket for all three shows It has a cost of $ 100 where there will be performances of cavalry, skirmishes, charrería and modern cowboys, according to its website.

The hours of the charrería shows are as follows:

  • Friday, October 8, 12 pm – History and beginnings of the cowboys
  • Saturday October 9 2 pm – Ranch Cowboys
  • Sunday October 10 2 pm – Cowboy Celebration

Cavalry Clinics They are also part of the event and you need to purchase tickets for these workshops. But on Sunday there will be a clinic open to the public starting at 10 am at the Cowtown Coliseum.

The event was organized by the American Paint Horse Association in collaboration with Stockyards Heritage, the City of Fort Worth, the Mexican Consulate in Dallas, and the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
