The value of ‘Revolut’ has reached $ 33 billion

The British financial technology company Revolut announced on Thursday that its value has reached 33 billion dollars (27.5 billion euros) after receiving new investments, thus equaling the value of traditional British banks.

Revolut says it has received $ 800 million in investment from Japanese investment giant Softbank Group and US investment group Tiger Global.

The value of the company in February 2020, before the coronavirus pandemic encouraged more and more people to turn to online banking, amounted to 5.5 billion dollars.

Revolut explains that the latest round of funding has made it the most valuable UK financial technology company.

Revolut was established in 2015.
