The vaccines are applied in the Bicentenary Park

Today, until 19:00, in the Bicentennial Park, vaccines against COVID-19, from the National Calendar, and the additional doses of the National Pediatric Campaign against Measles, Polio, Rubella and Mumps are applied.

The healthcare portfolio urges children between 13 months and 4 years of age (inclusive) to strengthen their immune systems by applying additional doses against polio, measles, rubella and mumps.

They are the triple viral vaccines (against measles, rubella and mumps) and against polio. These doses are applied as part of the national vaccination campaign for this age group.

Please note that the drugs mentioned will be applied to children, regardless of the vaccines they have previously received. The strategy is being carried out in hospitals, health centers and mobile immunization posts until 13 November.

Applications are presented in order of arrival and are on medical prescription.

The head of the immunization program, Adriana Jura, commented that the strategy aims to provide coverage to the susceptible infant population that may have accumulated over the years, i.e. those people who have not been vaccinated in a timely manner or who have received vaccines but have not achieved an adequate immune response.
