The first vaccines against covid-19 have already arrived in the capital of Cádiz. Today, the 85 users of the San Juan de Dios nursing home and the 59 workers that make up its staff received the first of two doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
At the Gades II geriatric residence, 56 people, including users and workers, have also received the coronavirus vaccine this afternoon. Likewise, at the Sor Angela de la Cruz residence the immunization process has also begun today with 27 people, including users, workers and sisters of the center.
The first elderly woman to be vaccinated was Encarnación Rey ‘Cuki’ who, at 99, sitting in her wheelchair and with a blanket covering her legs, has received the puncture that lights up hope in Cádiz.
At the same time, 45 workers from the Puerta del Mar University Hospital, approximately 1% of its workforce, have also received the first dose of the vaccine. The first professional has been Carmen, the administrative center of the center, who has expressed, while they were supplying it, that she hopes “that this will solve the problem we have, because we need it.”
