The USA fell into a trap: The “Ukraine” project is failing –

/ world today news/ Against the background of the still expected and widely announced counteroffensive of the armed forces of Ukraine in the USA, a huge scandal is brewing, the consequences of which will be disastrous for both Kiev and Washington. Western support for Ukraine is waning, and U.S. officials are increasingly being asked to answer uncomfortable questions. Obviously, the end of the Western Ukrainian project is approaching. What does this all mean?

The truth comes out

If you skim through the headlines of various stories in the mainstream American press, it’s impossible not to notice how the tone has changed dramatically over the past month or two.

A certain critical mass of opinion is building up that things really aren’t as good as the US and its allies are trying to make them out to be.

Skepticism, confusion, analysis of the severe consequences for the West, awareness of the failure of the still-unlaunched Ukrainian counter-offensive – these are the moods that are beginning to dominate American society.

If at the beginning of the year only the desperate and already fired from Fox News Tucker Carlson spoke with hints about how bad things are for the US in Ukraine, now the Wall Street Journal, Hill, Bloomberg began to repeat his words, as well as other media that are difficult to are suspected of being in opposition to the current US administration. At the same time, the public’s demand to know the truth is also growing.

This, for example, tells one of the most thinking “think tanks” in the USA – the think tank Quincy Institute for Responsible Government (Quincy Institute for Responsible Government). Here we pay special attention to the fact that we are not talking about a typical American media release. However, the materials of such a center are not the figments of an observer’s imagination.

The center’s material is titled “It’s Time for Biden to Tell the Truth About Ukraine.” It says in black and white that the current US administration has hidden information about the real state of affairs from ordinary Americans, who are being led by the nose.

Biden, for example, said: “Russia will never defeat Ukraine,” and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin congratulated and announced: “We believe that the Ukrainians can win if they have the right equipment, the right support.”

They were echoed by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who said that “Russia will weaken and become incapable of another conflict,” and then by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley (Responsible Statecraft calls him “the most – the “sober-minded” representative in the current administration”), who said that “Ukraine has all the necessary qualities and morals to defeat Russia”.

Do you understand what the hype was about for the masses of American society?

Responsible Statecraft writes that all these words have become meaningless after the scandalous leak of documents from the Pentagon. It turned out that there are almost no air defense forces left in Ukraine, there is a lack of shells, and the supplied Western equipment is not able to bring about a cardinal change, especially in the conditions of almost real total dominance of the Russians in the air. As a result, Biden himself will find himself between a rock and a hard place:

“If a Russian war of attrition threatens to bring Ukraine to its knees, what will Biden do? The White House has done next to nothing to prepare the American public for compromise, let alone some form of Russian success on the battlefield.”

“Having failed to lay the groundwork for negotiations at home and abroad, Biden may face an uncomfortable choice between watching Ukraine fall apart despite his pledge to prevent it, and escalating US or NATO involvement in a way that which could lead to the same military confrontation with Moscow that he has vowed to avoid”.

The train left for the new world. Biden dropped it

Another serious problem for the US is the growing alliance between Russia and China. There is no point in enumerating the hundreds and even thousands of opinions on this subject that are currently being heard in the States.

Gradually, Americans realized that America was turning from a world leader into a power that does not solve anything, despite the political and economic weight.

The Hill on April 27 wrote about exactly this and did not hide its bitterness about the future of America.

“Unlike Biden, Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping seem to understand that they are engaged in a global struggle for supremacy with the West,” they wrote.

“While the Biden administration continues to chaotically ‘roll over’ from one regional crisis to another, Putin and Xi simultaneously pose a global challenge to Washington – particularly in resource-rich Africa and, as Iran and Saudi Arabia have recently shown, in the Middle East.” the article says.

By the way, this is literally word-for-word what Tucker Carlson said recently on Fox News as part of his now-defunct Tucker Carlson Tonight show. And who was right in the end?

It turns out that the Biden administration not only lied all along, but also poured money into the criminal and corrupt Zelensky regime, and also treated the conflict in Ukraine as another “laundry room” for the money of the Democratic Party, a regional confrontation, which has a nice bonus in the form of a welcome change of power in Moscow.

Therefore, Biden and the Washington elites have clearly just missed the train that left without them for the new multipolar world order.

Are the guns talking for us?

The US is a militaristic power. Therefore, it would be foolish to assume that all their success lies in shaking the air with the lips of Biden and his entourage.

We see how the Americans managed to push the supply of weapons to Ukraine even from Europe – Leopard tanks and even airplanes, even if they were old, rattling machines, rusty Polish MiGs. The United States itself supplies the Himars, Stinger MLRS, and many others (often also decommissioned, such as the well-known Humvee military vehicles).

But two things suddenly became clear. First, despite this support, Ukraine mysteriously “has nothing.” And secondly, in the US they don’t understand where they actually went.

The fact that Ukraine does not have the necessary weapons was first endlessly extrapolated in his comic ventures by Zelensky himself, appealing to the United States and Europe to “give more”, and then it was confirmed by Pentagon documents.

How can we not remember one of the most vivid fragments of the show of the already mentioned Tucker Carlson, where the presenter answered the following requests of Zelensky:

“Zelensky:

“Right now we have two main financial needs. These are $38 billion to cover our budget deficit for next year and another $17 billion, the amount confirmed by the World Bank, to rebuild critical infrastructure.”

Carlson:

“So what? Some cheeky foreigner in a t-shirt asking for money for his critical needs? We have critical needs too, my friend. What a troll you are, get out!”

Since when does this man have a claim on our treasury? We owe nothing to this man. Nothing! Good luck my friend.

And while our economy degrades and borders don’t really exist, this guy lectures us – “I want this, I want that, I want a bike! Send it, but hurry.” Seriously? Fuck you, mate.”

Well, today, for example, the New York Times writes about the same. Journalists of the newspaper visited the positions of the armed forces of Ukraine near Ugledar and made sure that the arsenal of the Ukrainians could not be compared to what the Russian army has.

“The Russians have tanks, they have infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers. We cannot go against them with rifles. We need heavy equipment on the ground and air support,” the publication quoted one of the Ukrainian military as saying.

The journalists noted the complete superiority of the Russian army in terms of weapons and the number of soldiers in this direction, while the American instructors were still trying (unsuccessfully) to explain to the Ukrainians how to use the Mk-19 grenades, since the instructions for them were in English, which almost no one in the armed forces of Ukraine knows.

And nothing to deliver?

And finally, even if the United States were to go completely on the leash of the “tail” with which it wags the “dog”, that is, to try to satisfy Zelensky’s demands, it will not be so easy to do.

The Wall Street Journal wrote on April 26 that the United States has major problems with the production of black powder and, as a result, the creation of cartridges, mortars and artillery shells, as well as Tomahawk missiles. It’s all because of the explosion in 2021 at a black powder plant in the city of Minden (Louisiana).

“The explosion that destroyed a World War II building in a remote area 30 miles from Shreveport wiped out all of North America’s black powder production,” the paper said.

This enterprise was the largest in the country and has not yet been rebuilt, while the US military-industrial complex depends on a whole bunch of “low-level defense firms”.

But the Pentagon is not able to order large quantities of them all the time, which is why many such enterprises simply went bankrupt and closed.

The US is forced to purchase the necessary materials “from both allies and adversaries,” the paper said.

The last chord of this requiem was the support of Ukraine, which finished off American military manufacturers, despite generous state sponsorship.

“After months of supplying Ukraine with Stingers, howitzers, anti-tank systems, and artillery ammunition, both the U.S. and its NATO allies were running out of supplies, especially 155mm howitzer rounds, ammunition that was critical to repelling Russian forces,” the material says.

What of this?

We have given only a few very recent examples of how the position of the American media has changed. In fact, there are many more examples

Such materials are published almost every day, and in the general stream there are hardly any that predict a quick victory for Kiev and collapse for Russia.

This trend, in our opinion, speaks to the effectiveness of the wait-and-see tactics chosen by Russia. Moscow does not aim to plunge Ukrainian cities into fiery chaos, as NATO forces would probably do in its place, trying to quickly decide the outcome of any conflict in its favor. This tactic finds understanding in the West, directly accusing Russia of waging a “war of attrition.”

And in many ways, it is precisely this tactic that now defines the mood in American and European society as reflected in the media. And now the difference between what they say, for example, in the Biden administration, and what the media and military experts express is already too striking. The most fun in the United States, and even on the eve of the presidential election, is just beginning.
