US expects Ukraine to use Javelin for self-defense

In 2021, US President Joe Biden approved the provision of assistance to Kiev in the amount of $ 60 million, under which Javelin complexes will also be supplied to Ukraine.
Pentagon counts on Ukraine’s responsible use of American anti-tank systems Javelin and expects that they will be used only as a defense. This was announced on Wednesday, December 8, by the representative of the department, John Kirby, during a briefing, which was broadcast on Twitter.
“We expect them to be used responsibly and for self-defense purposes,” Kirby said during the briefing.
At the same time, he stressed that the Pentagon did not impose any geographical restrictions on the use of the complex in the country.
It is known that the United States supplies Ukraine with systems Javelin since 2018, then the country received 37 complexes and more than 200 missiles.
Recall that earlier Ukraine received a shipment of weapons from the United States… Arms and ammunition were delivered as part of the provision of additional security assistance from the US government to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
