The USA broke world records for oil and gas production: EADaily

In November, the United States broke its own records for both oil and gas production. Over the past ten years, the country has become the largest producer in the world.

According to the US Department of Energy Information Administration (EIA), in September oil production increased to 13.2 million barrels per day and set a new world record. The difference with August figures was 200 thousand barrels per day.

Also in September, American companies set a new record for gas production – 3.52 billion cubic meters per day.

Most of the volumes produced are consumed domestically, but the United States also supplies significant volumes for export. At the same time, Mexico continues to be the largest importer of American gas. In 2022, it imported 58.5 billion cubic meters through the gas pipeline. France comes next, but its purchases barely exceeded 16 billion cubic meters last year.
