The US Rejects the UN Committee’s Decisions on Israel Committing Genocide in Gaza

United States (US) agrees with the decisions of the United Nations Committee (PBB) regarding methods of warfare Israel consistent with “genocide” and Human Rights Watch’s accusations of “crimes against humanity” in Gaza.

Reported AFP, The report of the UN Special Committee accuses Israel of using starvation as a tactic of war.

“(The report) is something we certainly don’t agree with,” US State Department spokesman Vedant Patel said on Thursday (14/11).

“We believe that such expressions and accusations are baseless,” he said.

He also took issue with a Human Rights Watch report that said Israel forcibly displaced Gazans during more than a year of war in what amounted to a “crime against humanity.”

Petel said the forced transfer of Palestinians would be “a red line” for the United States and inconsistent with the principles outlined at the start of the war by Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his Group of Seven allies.

“It is completely consistent and appropriate to ask civilians to evacuate certain areas while they are conducting certain military operations, and then they can go home,” Patel said.

“We haven’t seen any particular critical trends,” he concluded.

The war between Israel and the Hamas militia in the Gaza Strip, Palestine has been going on since October 7, 2023 until now.

The Hamas Ministry of Health noted that the war had killed more than 42 thousand people.
