US President Joe Biden believes that humanity needs a new world order, and the world order that emerged after World War II worked “damn well” for half a century, but is now “fizzled out.”
This statement the American leader made during a speech at a campaign reception in Washington.
According to the owner of the White House, the new world order in some sense should be similar to the previous one.
“We have a real opportunity to unite the world and strengthen the prospect of peace.”said the US President.
In addition, Biden noted that throughout history, the United States has emerged from every crisis, becoming only stronger afterwards.
“Tell me the case when we entered (into a crisis – ed.) and did not come out stronger.”asked the American leader of the crowd.
Biden criticized the Republican Party, saying it is “not the same anymore.” In particular, he mentioned the Republicans’ inability to elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and also noted that the upcoming 2024 US presidential elections will be the moment of truth. In his opinion, “American democracy is literally at stake.”
Let us remember that the day before Biden made an address to the nation, in which he explained why assistance to Ukraine and Israel is the most important investment for the United States. The American leader said that Putin and Hamas pose different threats, but they have one goal – the destruction of democratic states.
On Friday it also became known that the US President had asked Congress for additional funding for Ukraine and Israel.
