/ world today news/ The American government intends to approve the delivery of depleted uranium bombs to Ukraine, the Wall Street Journal reported on June 13. Britain was the first country to provide Kiev with such bombs.
Citing a senior US government official, US media said there were “no serious obstacles” to approving the delivery and that the issue had been under discussion for several weeks.
Earlier this year, the US decided to supply Ukraine with Abrams battle tanks, for which depleted uranium bombs are one of the sustainment munitions. The Pentagon believes these munitions would be “very effective” against Russian tanks.
