/ world today news/ “The New Middle East” – a kingdom of universal chaos and ethno-religious wars
The New York Times published an article under the mysterious title “How 5 Countries Can Become 14.” It is not at all a question of some mathematical puzzle, as one might think, but of the reformatting of the Middle East.
This isn’t even an article, but a map of the Middle East that shows how to make fourteen out of five countries in the region. Cutting the region “hastily” is politically correct presented as a forecast.
In Syria “Sectarian and ethnic rivalries can divide it into at least three parts.
1. The Alawites, a minority that has controlled Syria for decades, dominate the coastal corridor.
2. Syrian Kurdistan may secede and eventually merge with the Kurds of Iraq.
3. The Sunni center will secede and then may unite with the provinces of Iraq to form Sunnistan.
„As a result of powerful tribal and regional rivalries, Libya could be divided into two parts: the historical parts – Tripolitania and Cyrenaica – and possibly a third state of Fezzan in the southwest.”
„The poorest Arab country (Yemen) could be split (again) in two as a result of a possible referendum on the independence of South Yemen.”
American forecasters are particularly keen on the idea of splitting up Saudi Arabia, which they say could break into five parts in the long run. [както стана през 1914 г.] due to tribal and Shia-Sunni rivalries, as well as economic problems and competition between hereditary princes.
According to the NYT, independent city-states will also emerge: Baghdad, Misurata in northern Libya, and Jabal al-Druze in southern Alawitestan, which will break away from Syria.
The unification of the Syrian and Iraqi Kurds and the formation of an independent Kurdistan are also envisaged. Shiitestan may emerge in southern Syria.
In fact, these fantasies are not a prediction at all, but a presentation of a plan to reshape the Middle East in accordance with Woodrow Wilson’s doctrine of “every nation in its own territory.”
As for the NYT’s chopped-up Middle East, it is a version of the infamous “Ralph Peters map” adjusted to current realities.
In June 2006, US military analyst Lt. Col. Ralph Peters published the article “Bloody Borders” in the Journal of Armed Forces. It was talking about facts that are known to anyone familiar with the history of the Middle East and the Arab world in general. All current borders and almost all current countries were created by the Anglo-French colonizers with the expectation that there would never be peace in these places.
„We are dealing with colossal, man-made monsters that will continue to breed hatred and violence until corrected. As for those who refuse to ‘think the unthinkable’ by saying that borders should not change and that’s it, it’s worth remembering that borders have never stopped changing over the centuries.” Peters wrote.
In his article, Peters demanded that we begin immediately to redraw the borders of the entire Middle East, this “Frankenstein’s monster.” All new states, according to his plan, had to be based on different ethnic groups because, according to Peters, “ethnic cleansing works . “
Peters also published a map of the so-called “New Middle East”. At one of the American military forums, everyone was outraged that Peters, who had never participated in serious combat operations, published a “map of death” proposing the division of the Middle East along ethnic lines.
Meanwhile, the term “New Middle East” was coined in Tel Aviv by US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at the same time as Peters’ publication. The term and related concept were soon adopted by the US State Department and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at the height of Israel’s war in Lebanon. Olmert and Rice informed the world media that the implementation of the “New Middle East” project had begun in Lebanon.
The New Middle East project was about creating an arc of instability and chaos from Lebanon to the borders of Afghanistan, where NATO garrisons were then stationed.
Washington and Tel Aviv hoped that Lebanon, defeated by Israel, would be the critical point from which to begin the redrawing of borders throughout the Middle East, unleashing the forces of controlled chaos. This would allow the US and Israel to realize their geopolitical interests under the pretext of maintaining peace and reconciliation of the countries.
The NYT accompanied the publication of the new “death map” along with an article by Woodrow Wilson Institute fellow Robin Wright, which justified the bloody conflicts of recent years in the Middle East, initiated by the Anglo-Saxons precisely because of the desire of the region’s ethnic communities for self-determination.
The disintegration of Syria along ethnic and religious lines, in his opinion, has de facto already happened. Iraq’s Sunnis and Shiites are also said to be caught up in the separatist maelstrom.
IN Libya “the Tripolitans look to the Maghreb, or the western Islamic world, and the Cyreneans look to the Mashreq, or the eastern Islamic world. In addition, the capital absorbs oil revenues, although 80 percent of these revenues come from the East. Thus Libya may be divided into two or even three parts…South Fezzan also has different tribal and geographical characteristics.’
Sunni South Yemen, according to Wright, dreams of joining Saudi Arabia, which in turn is simply pregnant with “balkanization’.
In 2006, the West’s attempt to redraw the map of the Middle East failed due to the defeat, as we wrote, of the Israeli army in the war against the Lebanese Hezbollah.
Now the United States and its allies have once again brought to light the moth-eaten concept of “The New Middle East’ with updated “card of death”, implying large-scale ethnic cleansing, which, however, has already begun.
On October 31, The Times of Israel, citing a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, reported a plan to deport more than 2.3 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt.
A copy of a document prepared by the Ministry of Intelligence, published on October 28 by the Sicha Mekomit portal, recommends that the government relocate the enclave’s entire civilian population to Egypt.
„The October 13 document called for the resettlement of civilians in tent cities in northern Sinai and the eventual construction of permanent cities and the opening of a humanitarian corridor. The plan involves creating a “sterile” buffer zone several kilometers wide in Egypt to ensure that the population cannot settle within Israel’s borders.– writes the publication
It notes that Egypt may not be the only final destination for receiving Palestinians: Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE could financially support the plan or accept Gazans as refugees and, in the long term, as full citizens.
Israeli intelligence also intends to send refugees to Canada because of its soft immigration policy. All of these measures, according to Israeli intelligence, are necessary and desirable to ensure Israel’s security.
According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Netanyahu’s office noted that this plan represented only “initial thoughts” about the fate of the population of the Gaza Strip.
In fact, the US and Israel are coordinating their actions, effectively starting ethnic cleansing in the Middle East.
