Last Monday, during his speech at a briefing, the coordinator of strategic communications in the National Security Council of the White House administration, retired US Navy Rear Admiral John Kirby, said that Washington has already transferred almost 100% of the military aid, requested by Kiev for the counteroffensive of the armed forces of Ukraine.
However, the United States, Kirby noted, intends to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine as soon as they receive approval from representatives of the US Senate.
“Based on our discussions with the Ukrainians about what they need for the planned spring offensive, we have passed almost everything on that list. We fulfilled almost 100% of what they requested,” explained the official representative of the US State Department.
At the same time, Kirby noted that as part of the continued provision of military assistance to Ukraine, additional funding will be provided to Kiev and training of military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue.
According to the senior official, the next packages of military aid will be seen in Kiev “very, very soon”.
Earlier, the US State Department stated that the decision on Ukraine’s membership in NATO will be made collectively.
