Four highlights, which will take place in the month of March, May, September and December, will mark the presence of the L’Histoire à come festival this year. The theme of “Uses of the fake” throughout history until today will serve as a common thread for these online meetings which will begin on Thursday March 18 at 9 pm (with a meeting called “The bathers” with Anaïs Comet and Carina Louart hosted by Steve Hagimont) and will run until March 21.
This fourth edition will tackle the question of the truth which, for some years now, has taken on a singular and sometimes worrying topicality. While the limits seemed established between lie and truth, between fiction and reality, the declarations of certain political leaders, the innumerable information circulating on the Internet, the possibilities offered by digital images, force a new vigilance.
The History to Come therefore invites us to reflect on the definitions of true and false in all their manifestations: documents or evidence fabricated from scratch, copies and forgeries in art, counterfeit objects, false news, impostors, artifices which sometimes allow the demonstration real.
