Juventus achieve a dramatic win at home Sassuolo. The Old Lady once again proved their abstinence.
Juventus visited Mapei Stadium, Tuesday (26/4/2022) early in the morning WIB, to face Sassuolo. Three points are the target of Juventus who want to secure a ticket to the top four this season.
However, Juventus’ path was not easy because they had to fall behind in the first half through Giacomo Raspadori’s goal. At the end of the first half, Juventus then equalized the score through Paulo Dybala.
In the second half, Sassuolo and Juventus exchanged attacks to get additional goals. But, several times both of them always failed.
The match looked set to end in a draw before a long ball found Adrien Rabiot in the box and headed towards Moise Kean who received it, before finding the net for Andrea Consigli.
Juventus won 2-1 while securing fourth place in the Serie A standings with 66 points, eight points ahead of AS Roma in fifth position.
Thus, Juventus only needs one point to lock up the top four positions in the remaining four matches. The results are so satisfying considering that Juventus can keep their chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
This victory also proves Juventus’ status as the Comeback King in 2022. Quoted by Opta, Juventus won 12 points from behind, five points more than any other team.
“We had difficulties, it was not easy to play away. But we were able to achieve important results,” said Moise Kean from Football Italia.
“We always believe until the end, that’s what Juventus teach you, always try to take the points. There are still trophies to be won, but we have to focus from game to game,” he continued.
