The book about Sergej Yeager was created for three years. It has just reached the readers. However, the idea that the singer would like such a collection about himself arose a long time ago.
The singer says: “At some point in my life, I realized that I had something to say. I wanted someone to write it down, because there was definitely no such idea that I would do it myself. That’s how we approached Lāsma Gaitnieci, who did this work and helped also to feel and delve into the events of my life.”
“I definitely wanted to tell about myself, about my childhood, because it’s not a tutorial, but it’s a story about how life can be like that. And if we really want something, it’s possible to achieve everything,” says the musician.
The author entrusted with the creation of the book, Lāsma Gaitniece, reveals: “There are conversations with Sergej Jäger on various topics, as well as conversations with his people, with his family members, relatives, colleagues, just friends, good friends who have known Sergej Jäger for many years. “
“I could tell one episode. It was an interview in May, which was very cold, and there is a chapter in the book – “Don’t call No. 25″. It was like we were sitting and talking, he told me. It was already cold, but I just felt that I got goosebumps like ice cubes, figuratively speaking, of course, from the experience he was telling me,” the writer remembers.
“Of course, after reading the book, you will be able to shed a tear, but you will also be able to laugh,” admits the book’s hero himself.
As the singer is close not only to music, but also to cooking, recipes are also included at the end of the book.
“It is my meditation, and [kulinārijā] i feel like a fish in water and i like to just do it. I come up with a lot of things, I can also learn something at the same time and reflect, come up with, basically organize my thoughts while cooking. But the most important thing is that someone likes it all,” says Sergej Jägers.
According to him, everyone will find a small surprise while reading the book: “There will definitely be different pictures – what is in the book and the picture of Sergej Yeager on stage.”
