Christophe Dechavanne remains a monument among the PAF facilitators. Indeed, by leaving Antenne 2 for TF1, he signed the jackpot. Indeed, he explained that in 1987, Francis Bouygues had poached him with a very big salary. Subsequently, the host made his place to become one of the most popular hosts in France. All thanks to shows such as Ciel, mon tuesday! and Hello, it’s us! In 1989, he created the Coyote company, which produced shows and TV films for TF1. Also, Christophe Dechavanne hosted the iconic reality TV show The Celebrity Farmwhere viewers were able to discover the character of Vincent McDoom.
Today back on France 2, in the program What a time! It is a talk show, both a social magazine and entertainment, which aims to tell and question the current era. The show remains designed as a place for meetings and debates between personalities marking cultural, societal, political or media news. Christophe Dechavanne is a permanent guest on the show, alongside journalist Léa Salamé. Very harsh words that he confided to Frédéric Lopez. In fact, this episode remains a real trauma for the facilitator. Furthermore, Christophe Dechavanne had requested the presence of a witness to have some sort of confirmation:
“I call my main collaborator, and I say to him: ‘Would you like to come up, please, because I am hearing something, but there has to be a witness .’ I found it inhumane. And so my colleague comes up and I say to Mougeotte: ‘Can you repeat what you just said to me in front of my colleague?’ And he said: ‘Yes, but of course, without any problem: people don’t want to see Christophe anymore.’”
A situation rather lunarbut fortunately Christophe Dechavanne was able to get back up, to continue the career that we know him today.
