This often happens to me. I envision the real and I can’t believe my eyes. Nor my ears. No, I don’t believe it. As we know, the relationship between reality and fiction has been completely redefined. It is well known that the border between one and the other is porous, that they sometimes seem to exchange their properties. That one is, to paraphrase a famous quote, “a moment” of the other. One of the strengths of fiction is that it appears more real than the real. But is one of the strengths of reality today to seem more fictitious than fiction? I have experienced this unreal effect these last few days in Paris. We know very well that we Parisians have no self-esteem, that we are ready to queue for three hours to get a lukewarm beer stuck between two bins.
