The latest Steam update for Fallout 4 has a reference to “New Vegas 2,” and while that fact has almost nothing to do with the second part of the series they’ve been begging for years, everyone’s still desperate to know why.
Steam app updates are usually publicly visible thanks to third-party tools such as SteamDB. Among other things, it is possible to see beta versions and other alternative versions of the game, such as those available to testers or pushing towards the launch of the game, even when these offshoots are not intended to be publicly available.
