The unprecedented challenge of ‘MasterChef Celebrity’

Following the expulsion last week of actor José Lamuño, MasterChef Celebrity 9 returns tonight with its second installment and an unconventional start… After a preliminary game, in which the contestants must guess the exact price of various culinary elements to obtain subsequent cooking advantages, it will be time to prepare a free dish in a time of 75 minutes. Up to this point, more or less everything is normal.

The extraordinary thing this time will be the diners to whom these recipes will be intended: 15 dogs of different breeds and sizesbrought to us by two old acquaintances of the programme: Anabel Alonso and Bibiana Fernandez (both, former contestants of the talent). So, candidates will have to take into account the ‘special needs’ of canines when preparing their menu…

THE MOST TRADITIONAL OUTDOOR TEST

Next, it will be the turn of the classic outdoor test, which on this occasion will take them to the Slaughterhouse Madrid. Taking advantage of the traditional festivities of San Isidrothe teams will have to cook two menus composed of the most traditional tapas and desserts of this festival. For the occasion we will see the judges dressed as chulapos, in a test that will also feature the participation of Tania Llasera, candidate for MasterChef Celebrity 8 (who will participate in this challenge as another member of the group).

SWEET OR SPICY? BOTH AT THE SAME TIME!

Back on set, the black aprons will face a test with the so-called Swicy as a common thread, that is, a gastronomic trend, whose name is the sum of the words English sweet y spicy (sweet and spicy).

Under the traditional ‘Mystery Boxes’, contestants will find different ingredients (tajine, chocolate, mole poblano, liquid soy, strawberry jam, sauce sriracha, kimchiamong others) with which they will have to devise a dish that highlights this trend. Chef Luke Jang and Gonzalofinalist of MasterChef 12, will accompany the candidates in this elimination test.
