In recent years there has been a change between Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic developed one of the most unusual friendships in tennis. Their relationship, which was initially characterized by open dislike, has transformed and is now a popular topic on Instagram.
Australian tennis rebel Kyrgios made no secret of his dislike of the world number 1 in the early stages of this story. But their relationship cooled down in 2022 after Djokovic was deported from Australia over his stance on Covid vaccines.
Djokovic publicly thanked Kyrgios for his support during that time, and the two have since developed a friendship. “We had a rocky relationship at the beginning and there were a few changes,” Kyrgios told Eurosport.

This unlikely duo recently appeared on television together, with Kyrgios offering in typically robust fashion to help Djokovic with a problem with a restless spectator.
Djokovic clashed with a fan during his match against Alexei Popyrin on Tuesday and invited his troublemaker to come onto the court and express his concerns more openly. “Of course it bothers you, but you have to accept it and deal with it.
What really frustrates me is when someone disrupts, so I confronted the disruptors like I did,” Djokovic said. “I invited a guy to say what he said to my face. He apologized from a distance and suddenly lacked courage when he had to face me.” Kyrgios already suggested going into the crowd and removing the spectator during his match commentary, and has now told Djokovic that exactly will do so should the situation repeat itself.
“Let’s do WWE with the audience, I’ll jump in for you and get this guy out,” Kyrgios said. Djokovic responded by suggesting they grab some popcorn to watch, then offered to form a dream team on the court with Kyrgios, the 2022 Australian Open doubles champion.
